CUPE National President Paul Moist and National Secretary-Treasurer Claude Généreux today reluctantly announced the postponement of the first National Social Services meeting due to low registration. Originally planned to begin in Gatineau, Quebec on February 27. The meeting has been re-scheduled to November 21-23, 2007.

CUPE organizers are very aware that postponing this meeting will be disappointing to delegates and locals already registered. However everyone is looking forward to meeting on the newly scheduled dates in November.
