Edmonton - The members of Local 2408 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees have ratified a new agreement with the Pioneer Lodge in Lloydminster which will provide staff with increases ranging from 10% to 15% over the next two years.

“The care CUPE members provide in this facility is the reason that residents are treated with respect and dignity,” said Roxanne Wells, CUPE’s National Representative. “This settlement recognizes how hard our members work to keep residents comfortable and secure.”

As well as the wage increase, the employer agreed to increase its contribution to shared cost RRSP from 2% to 4%.
