HEARST, Ont. – Members of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) working at Hearst Power Distribution Company Ltd have negotiated a new collective agreement; end a strike at the utility.
“We are happy we were able to reach an agreement that is mutually satisfactory,” said Denis Régimbald, CUPE national representative. Workers will now return to work.
“We thank residents for their support and understanding during our struggle.”
