The Treasurers’ workshop is designed to help new secretary treasurers learn the all the skills needed to do their jobs as the executive member responsible for their local’s finances.
The workshop will also give experienced secretary treasures’ a change to learn how other keep books, report to the membership, develop budgets and work with Trustees.
The workshop will also help Treasurer’s get up to speed with CUPE’s new ledger and associated forms.
Along with learning bookeeping skills particpants will aslo learn about developing budgets, developing realist proposals to change dues rates and how and what to report to members about local union finances.
