The tentative deal in Saskatchewan ending a strike by 12,000 CUPE health care workers has hit a snag.

Local presidents have recommended rejection of the deal, angered that the employer group has tried to renege on some of the gains that were negotiated. Among the articles in dispute are the costing of vacation improvements, the transportation allowance and options for payment of designated holidays.

Negotiators have been instructed to return to the table with mediator Vince Ready to clarify the original intent of the agreement.
