Flight attendants with Royal Aviation have voted to join CUPE, adding about 200 new members to the Airline Division.

Were ecstatic with the results, said Division president Denise Hill. This is a really important group to belong to the union.

This has been a long hard battle, added Humberto DaSilva, a Royal flight attendant who worked on the organizing drive. Were really happy to be part of CUPEs Airline Division.

The union looks forward to negotiating a collective agreement that gives the Royal flight attendants improved working conditions and health and safety protections, as well as improving their wage and benefit package, concluded Hill.
