TORONTO – Striking CUPE 416 and 79 members and their supporters will participate in a rally at City Hall tomorrow, Monday, July 8th, at 12:30 p.m., in front of Toronto City Hall. Toronto Civic Employees Union Local 416 CUPE represents 6,800 outside workers on strike since June 26th. CUPE Local 79 represents 18,000 inside workers on strike since July 4th.

Supporters from other labour groups, the community and members of the public are expected to join the rally. CUPE 79 President Ann Dembinski and CUPE 416 President Brian Cochrane, as well as spokespeople from other labour organizations will address the rally for striking municipal workers.
