Medicare advocates, including CUPE and the Canadian Health Coalition were in local ridings across the country the week of November 13th to 18th pushing Members of Parliament to defend and extend medicare. They’ve got a simple agenda:
- Stop for-profit health care by enforcing the Canada Health Act
- Reduce wait times by organizing wait lists and hiring more health care workers
- Fund a national pharmacare program
