Child care advocates from across the country are pushing for immediate action on a national child care program.

Negotiations between the federal and provincial governments for a new national child care strategy had been making progress. But foot-dragging by some provinces particularly Ontario has stalled negotiations.

CUPE, along with the Child Care Advocacy Association and other allies, is calling for new federal funding in support of regulated, affordable, publicly accountable child care.
