Respected economist makes case against privatization in new book

Well-known University of Manitoba economist John Loxley has published a new book that documents the problems with privatizing public services through so-called public-private partnerships.
Public Service, Private Profits expands and updates groundbreaking research Loxley conducted for CUPE more than a decade ago.
Loxley and his co-author, son Salim Loxley, use a series of in-depth case studies to test the claims made in favour of privatizing public infrastructure and services. They conclude these claims are based on “empty, ideological assertions.”
