CUPE Alberta president D’Arcy Lanovaz said Ontarios Highway 407 is a cautionary tale for Albertans wondering about Calgarys planned ring road.

Lanovaz said the province should look to Ontario to see the future of the P3 deal to build a road connecting Deerfoot Trail to the Trans-Canada Highway, announced in this weeks throne speech.

“The P3 Highway 407 has been a disaster for taxpayers as well as commuters, and we should learn from that,” he said.

Calgary cancelled a P3 deal to build a court-house after it went $200 million over budget.
