I will serve as Chair of the Joint Board of Trustees of the CUPE Pension Plan and Brother Gary Johnson will serve as Vice-Chair, effective January 1, 2004.
The term for the Retiree Trustee and Alternate Retiree Trustee ended December 31, 2003. Brother Russ Whitney was elected to replace Brother Raymond Arsenault as Retiree Trustee. Brother Clarence Dungey, Alternate Retiree Trustee, was re-elected.
Sister Nancy Parker, OPEIU Local 491 Trustee resigned from the Joint Board of Trustees in December 2003. Sister Patty Brockman is the new OPEIU Local 491 Trustee.
Four pre-retirement seminars were held in 2003 for eligible pension plan members. The locations of the seminars were in Fredericton, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal.
