Dear Brother Coles:
On behalf of the 590,000 members of CUPE I am writing to offer this message of solidarity and our sincere condolences for the 17 oil rig workers who perished in the tragic helicopter crash in the North Atlantic last week.
I have been at two CUPE gatherings in two separate provinces in recent days where members paused to remember these workers.
I offer this message of solidarity in what I know is a difficult period for your union.
