VANCOUVER - The City’s 800 library workers, represented by CUPE 391, have been on strike for almost a month and a half now. They would like to see our “civil city include pay equity” among other vital improvements for library workers. This is the first strike in their 77 year history.

Local bands and supporters have come together to hold a benefit concert for the group this Saturday, September 8th, 2007 at the Maritime Labour Auditorium at 8:00 p.m.

Popular Vancouver bands include: Doug Andrew & The Circus in Flames, Swank, eldorado and other special guests.

Admission is by donation with the money going to assist those striking library workers facing financial hardship during the current dispute. All are welcome!
