(Halifax) A tentative agreement was reached late Friday evening between the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 3912, representing the part-time faculty, and Mount Saint Vincent University. The Local represents approximately one hundred and fifty-five part-time faculty. It was a very long, but very productive day, said Barbara Kowalski, National Representative, and CUPE.
Details of the settlement will be presented to the part-time faculty at a meeting to be held on Friday, March 19th, 2004 at 12:00 noon in the Faculty Lounge at Mount Saint Vincent University. Members will vote on the package to be presented by the Negotiating Committee at that time, said Kowalski.
