New CUPE video criticizes Winnipeg privatization

A five-minute animated video produced for Local 500, was released to the media on June 15. Using innovative stop motion animation, Winnipeg animators Christian and Sean Procter tell the story of Winnipeg’s proud history and the negative impact privatizing public services has on the city.

“Most people are not aware of what’s going on at city hall, but we needed a way to bring people closer to CUPE,” said Mike Davidson, president of Local 500.  “I believe the best way to do that, is to bring us closer to them. And this video is but one way to do that.”
