Last month the clerical staff, teaching assistants and library technicians with the Ottawa-Carleton Separate School Board voted to join CUPE. Then the Employee Association of Ottawa-Carleton asked the Labour Board to call a new vote, claiming that there had been irregularities in the voting procedure.

This week the Labour Board rejected the Association’s application. So now it’s official. The 650 workers at the OCSSB are members of CUPE Local 2357.
