Aug 20, 2007 10:30 AM Two locals of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) reached an impasse in bargaining with the University of Windsor yesterday, as the administration continued to demand concessions and failed to move towards fair contract settlements in conciliation talks. “We have asked the conciliation officer to file a ‘no-board’ report with the ministry of Labour, starting the countdown to a legal strike or lockout in early September,” said CUPE national representative Joel Bentley.

The strike vote was held by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), the union representing the 60 area Aramark workers.
