TORONTO – The Ontario Electricity Coalition will hold a news conference tomorrow (Thursday), to critique the governments recently announced rate hike. The news conference will take place:

DATE: Thursday, April 1st
TIME: 10:30 a.m.
LOCATION: Queens Park Media Studio, Toronto

The coalition will make the case that money from the rate hike will supplement the profits of private power companies, including Brascan and Bruce Power, instead of being used to help fix Ontarios ailing electricity system.

The coalition is composed of environmental groups and unions that want to protect public power and the environment. The coalition is urging the Liberal government to make a commitment to public power.
