The Ontario Federation of Labour’s campaign against privatization travelled across Ontario in April and May. The OFL held workshops for union members and informed local media about the privatization debate.

P3s are a major mechanism for introducing the private sector into essentially sensitive services like health, prisons and education,” OFL president Wayne Samuelson told the Kitchener-Waterloo Record. “People need to hold the government to its pledge to steer clear of public private partnerships.”

Samuelson and other OFL executive officers spoke in London, Kingston, Thunder Bay, Hamilton, Kitchener-Waterloo, Peterborough and Sault Ste-Marie.

A major rally to oppose P3s is planned in front of Queen’s Park June 3.
