CUPE wrapped up its participation in this year’s Federation of Canadian Municipalities conference with a well-attended reception.

Gail Johnson, a councilor and deputy warden in Richmond County NS, won the draw held during the event. FCM past president Anne MacLean drew the winning ballot.

Johnson’s prize – two air tickets anywhere in North America – was donated by WE Travel.

CUPE hosts a yearly reception at the FCM conference. It’s a space for workers and municipal officials to strengthen relationships and discuss the issues in an informal setting.

FCM’s 2010 conference will be held in Toronto.
