Halifax – Premier Stephen McNeil’s office in Middleton will be the site of an information picket by the province’s highway workers tomorrow afternoon.

The Nova Scotia Highway Workers’ Union (CUPE Local 1867) will be handing out flyers on the McNeil government’s plans to pull the plug on the public paving plant that was purchased less than two years ago.

This is the second such event by Local 1867. Last Friday they picketed Transportation Minister Geoff MacLellan’s office in Glace Bay.

(ATTENTION ASSIGNMENT/PHOTO EDITORS: The event will take place at 1:30 pm at McNeil’s constituency office, 142 Commercial St.)
