CUPE’s web-based email for members service no longer requires you to have another email address to get a members.cupe.ca account.

CUPE National has been offering members an ad-free, employer-free, spam-free no-charge email service since May 2003. We’ve had a lot of people sign up for it and one thing that keeps coming up is “why do I need to have another email address to sign up for members.cupe.ca?”

Fair point.

So we’ve changed the way webmail works so that you can sign up for an account without going through the email confirmation loop that so confounded many users.

You have to retype a random series of letters and numbers displayed to you when you sign up, so that we can keep spam robots from using our service to send junk mail.

Please note: if you do not supply an external email address, you cannot retrieve or reset a lost password. You will have to phone the national office.

We expect to offer a password retrieval function that allows you to change or reset your password without having an external email address soon.
