City workers fight concession demands with strike votes

Apr 27, 2009 11:24 AM Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Ontario President Sid Ryan will be returning to Windsor today to walk the picket lines with striking city workers. Ryan, who addressed the roadblocks to a strike resolution in two prior meetings with city council, is returning to the hard hit auto town. He will be walking the picket lines with the workers, and will be available 24/7 for talks or to “…go for a walk…” with the mayor as one city councilor proposed last Monday.
