BURNABY—Former BC Labour Minister and NDP MLA Moe Sihota will be the keynote speaker at CUPE BC’s first-ever Workers of Colour conference, to be held at the end of February in Vancouver.

Sihota, who was the first Indo-Canadian elected to a provincial legislature and the first appointed to a provincial cabinet, is a lawyer, former broadcaster, political commentator and long-time observer of B.C. politics.

The conference, titled Different Faces, Different Voices: Diversity in Action, will be held at Vancouver’s Coast Plaza Hotel from February 25 - 27.
