CUPE Manitoba represents over 26,000 members in more than 100 locals.
The union’s largest employer is the province’s health care system. CUPE members also provide support services in health care facilities, personal care homes, school divisions, municipal services, social services, child care centers, public utilities, libraries and family emergency services across Canada.
Promoting human rights is an important focus within CUPE Manitoba. There are two human rights committees within the union. The union is also an active supporter of the Friends of the Canadian Museum of Human Rights.
Kelly Moist was elected president of CUPE Manitoba in July 2011.
