In a further victory for CUPE public transit workers, the head of the Longueuil, QC, transit authority has said no to P3s. Claude Gladu, head of the Réseau de transport de Longueuil, made the announcement in front of CUPE members attending a public meeting in early June.

The news is a big win for the city’s transit operators, members of CUPE 3333. It’s the second P3 win for Quebec transit workers, coming fast on the heels of last month’s major victory in Montreal with CUPE 1983. Both winning campaigns had strong community outreach to raise awareness about the dangers of P3s.
