Thousands of CUPE members will take to the streets on Monday, June 17, in support of CUPE Local 1418. The local, which represents 13 groups of front-line professionals, including social workers will have announced the results of its strike vote earlier that day.

Rallies will take place in the following locations, from 12:15 - 12:45 p.m.:

Moncton: Lion’s Club (55 Mark Avenue)

Fredericton: Office of Eric Mackenzie, MLA and Brad Green, MLA and Attorney General (83 Regent St.)

Saint John: King’s Square

Bathurst: Office of Joel Bernard, MLA (360 Parkside Drive)

Tracadie-Sheila: Office of Elvy Robichaud, MLA and Minister responsible for the Office of Human Resources (422 Arseneau St.)

Campbellton: Office of Jean Dub,0020MLA (CN Building, 113 Roseberry St.)

Miramichi: Pleasant Square

Woodstock: Office of David Alward, MLA

Outstanding issues are workload, wages and recruitment and retention of staff. Negotiations are set to resume June 18,19 and 20th.
