International Adult Learners' Week!

As you may know, this week is International Adult Learners' Week (IALW)! An initiative launched by UNESCO in 2000, IALW raises the profile and importance of adult literacy learning. ABC Life Literacy Canada is celebrating the week in many ways:

  • They just got back from the Never Ending Learning conference in Edmonton. Check out the great coverage: Edmonton Journal article
  • * This week they are in B.C. to highlight and celebrate some of their literacy programs, and to make a special announcement of a celebrity Ambassador for the LEARN program: celebrating lifelong learning BC 
  • They launched a new podcast episode in honour of the week. Check out episode five online.
