Regina: Licensed practical nurses represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees will hold a media scrum today at 1 p.m. at the Regina Inn, where the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses is holding its annual convention.

The media scrum is being held to discuss the importance of allowing licensed practical nurses to utilize their full scope of practice in the health care system.

Participants in today’s scrum include:
  • LPNs from three health regions
  • Gordon Campbell, CUPE Local President
  • Steve Foley, President, CUPE Saskatchewan Health Care Council
  • John Welden, CUPE Staff Representative
The scrum will be held in the foyer on the second floor of the Regina Inn.
