REGINA: A delegation representing striking Regina Public Library workers will visit City Hall at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow for an Open Door Date with Mayor Pat Fiacco.

Mayor Fiacco recently announced that he would open his doors to the general public one morning every month to listen to the citizens of Regina.

The library workers are concerned the Mayor, who is also member of the Library Board, has not received their message. We have written the Mayor, we have phoned him, but we have not received a response, says Rosemary Oddie, acting president of CUPE Local 1594. We want to know what he is doing to get the Library Board back to the table to end this dispute.

The library workers began a full strike on April 16. They have been without a contract since December 31, 2000.
