On behalf of the membership of CUPE Local , I write in regards to the Investing in Students Taskforce commissioned by the Ontario Government in September 2000. Although the Report is very long, it is short on specifics.
As a result, we would be very interested to read any submission made on behalf of Your University’s to the Taskforce. We understand that the Taskforce issued a call for proposals. Did Your University respond, either alone or as a partner to this invitation? Did Your University participate in any of the deliberations of the nine Council of Ontario Universities working groups, coordinated by the Council of Senior Administrative Officers (CSAO), and struck in order to develop and submit system-wide proposals? Are you aware of any proposals made independently of your office, but relating to the administrative operations of Your University. Finally, would you kindly provide us with copies of any and all of the above-mentioned submissions?
We appreciate your consideration of our request and, as important members of the University community, look forward to an open discussion on the proposed restructuring of administrative operations at Your University.
