In a symbolic gesture, laid off flight attendants from CanJet’s Halifax base collectively returned their uniforms to their employer at the company’s head office on Friday, April 13.

CanJet is a subsidiary of IMP Group. Halifax based IMP Group touts itself as being Atlantic Canada’s and Nova Scotia’s top employer as well as one of Canada’s best managed companies.

The 18 flight attendants, who happen to be some of the company’s most senior employees and longtime union activists, question the airline’s decision to target the Halifax base.

CUPE continues to represent more than 400 CanJet flight attendants across the country.
