GUELPH – Hospital workers and representatives of Local 1033 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) will protest the suspension of seven of their members for refusing to take flu medication as ordered by their employer. On May 1st the hospital said workers who refused the medication would not be allowed to work and would not be paid. The protest picket will be held Tuesday, May 7th, at 12:00 noon outside the St. Joseph’s Health Centre in Guelph, on Edinburgh Road (between Willow and Speedvale).
