(Halifax) – A group of health care and labour activists will be handing out flyers to commuter traffic on the Dartmouth side of the McDonald Bridge Friday morning.

They’re promoting Sunday’s (March 30, 2003) public forum entitled ’The Future of Health Care in Nova Scotia’, which is being held at the Cunnard St. Legion from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.

(ATTENTION PHOTO AND ASSIGNMENT EDITORS: The activists will begin handing out the flyers at 7:00 a.m. and will do so for about 90 minutes, Friday March 28.)

Sponsored by the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, the forums will give people an opportunity to find out how the latest federal budget and the limited implementation of the Romanow Report will affect Medicare.

Renowned singer-songwriter Laura Smith will also be performing at the Halifax forum.
