Five Nova Scotia home care locals have formed a committee to coordinate bargaining.

The locals represent between 300 and 400 home care workers employed by five municipal governments and the VON. The committee will share information and coordinate around contract expiry dates, language and wage and benefit provisions.

The committee will also explore lobbying and other political work.

Coordinating bargaining is one of the major elements of the strategic directions adopted at CUPEs national convention in October.
