Defend local assessment offices

The provincial government wants to close our BC Assessment offices in Vernon and Penticton. The 22 members of CUPE 1767 who work at these local offices will move to a single office for the entire Okanagan located in Kelowna. The dedicated assessment workers believe the services they offer locally are vital to our community and ask for your support in lobbying the province to maintain these offices so business and residential questions and problems can be dealt with locally and, if needed, in person - not just by touch-tone phone or in Kelowna.
