Exactly one year ago, P3 Alert told you about a “New public water resource: Waves of regret,” a publication that an American-based watchdog group called “Public Citizens” had posted to its website.

Since then, the group has been busy. They have updated the publication, changed the title, and changed the website address too.

The new publication is called “Faulty Pipes: Why Public Funding – Not Privatization – Is the Answer for US Water Systems.” The booklet chronicles stories of “maintenance problems in Atlanta and sewage spills in Milwaukee… corruption in New Orleans and political meddling in Lexington.” Faulty Pipes is the history on how water privatization in the U.S. “is marred by underachievement and failure.”

It is available in English only at www.foodandwaterwatch.org/publications/reports/faulty-pipes.
