The Fraser Health Authority has implemented the Campbell Liberals’ health privatization agenda by contracting out in-house laundry services provided by Hospital Employees’ Union (CUPE) members at Chilliwack, Mission Memorial, MSA and Fraser Canyon hospitals, to K-Bro, an American-owned company based in Calgary.
That means job losses for skilled and experienced health workers, loss of knowledgeable staff and quality control for the hospitals and economic loss to Fraser Valley communities.
K-Bro’s contract begins November 16.
HEU is rallying November 15.
