A delegation of CUPE leaders, members and staff will be in Niagara Falls May 30 to June 2 for the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ (FCM) annual conference.

This year, CUPE is hosting a workshop on Saturday, May 31 to launch a toolkit and new research calling for our cities and towns to be funded fairly - and properly. Panelists will discuss the need for better municipal revenue sources that shift costs fairly onto those who can most afford to pay.

The FCM annual conference is excellent opportunity for CUPE to connect with municipal leaders and staff to work together on strengthening our communities. Through our trade show booth and our participation in the conference panels and workshops, CUPE ensures workers’ voices are part of the national municipal conversation on infrastructure, trade, and protecting public services.
