Last April (2007) the first national meeting of District Councils took place in Toronto. The historic meeting resulted in a number of recommendations, which you can review in the report published last July and which were recently posted to cupe.ca in a downloadable form. The District Council’s mailing list is one of them. Executive members of each District are eligible mailing list members. If you are a District Council executive member please have your name added to the list. You can do this by having your District Council President forward your name to CUPE’s web editor at webmaster@cupe.ca

Then if your district council is organizing an event please ask that it be posted to the mailing list by one of your executive members before or after the event. That is a great way to share ideas with your brothers and sisters in other district councils.

Your events could also end up as stories and be posted on CUPE.ca.
