Randy Vegas and Raul Camposano are two organizers in the Philippines with the Confederation for Unity, Recognition and Advancement of Government Employees (COURAGE). They were abducted and have been detained since December 2012. CUPE National President Paul Moist, and CUPE National Secretary-Treasurer Charles Fleury along with members of CUPE Global Justice Committee hand delivered thousands of signed postcards to a representative with the Philippine Embassy in Ottawa. They delivered the postcards with a clear message for the Ambassador: the immediate and unconditional release of Vegas and Camposano.

COURAGE is the largest labour confederation in the Philippines with over 200,000 members. They are currently campaigning to expose corruption and oppose privatization. The COURAGE campaign for the release of their organizers Vegas and Camposano is part of a nationwide campaign calling for the release of hundreds more prisoners.
