Tonight, Thursday, Dec. 15, the four main party leaders debate in French, and tomorrow night, Friday, Dec. 16, they debate in English. Both debates start in Vancouver at 5 p.m. Pacific Time.

The candidates will talk the talk in four separate debates this election, an improvement over the 2004 election when they came head to head only twice.

The last two debates will be on Jan. 9 and 10, the location to be announced.

CUPE members will be watching the debates closely to see which candidates support strengthened public services, accountability and improved working conditions.

We’ll watch to see which leader takes up our issues, tackles privatization, says the right thing on child care, health care, municipal infrastructure and other public services.
