Danny Cavanagh wrote an opinion piece in the Chronicle Herald Jul. 11 on how government investment in public services and infrastructure can help us out of the recession.

The president of CUPE Nova Scotia argues:

What the province needs to be doing now is investing in municipal infrastructure and not-for-profit, public services. There is no better way to stimulate the economy during a recession than this kind of investment by governments. It will create jobs and support other economic activity directly in our communities.
