A new era of CUPE National publications

Big changes are underway in pages of CUPE National’s publications. Our regular newsletters are getting a new look—in full colour!

Today we’re excited to be launching the latest issue of Tabletalk, a bargaining resource from CUPE National, with a revamped design. It’s just the first in a series of redesigns that will take place in the coming months.

The new layout is meant to help you, the reader, find your way to the stories that are most relevant to you. We’ve included a new table of contents on the front page, new section headings, and topic indicators to help you find what you’re looking for. And of course, a full colour presentation makes it great to look at!

In this month’s Tabletalk:

Pensions in the spotlight!

CUPE’s expert researchers break down the recent attacks on public sector pensions and the effects of the economic crisis. A recent settlement at the University of Guelph sheds some light on what you can do at the bargaining table to make sure your pension stays secure.

Oh, my aching back!”

A recent joint study between CUPW and Canada Post shows how locals and employers can work together to improve benefits while reducing costs.

Plus, in this issue’s Innovative Language, learn about language to secure EI benefits for school board workers during layoff periods in your collective agreement.

All these bargaining tips and more in the latest issue of Tabletalk!
