OTTAWA Canada’s largest union will be responding to the 2005 federal budget tomorrow.

CUPE National President Paul Moist and National Secretary-Treasurer Claude Gnreux will provide reaction to the budget in the Railway Committee Room (253-D). They will also be available for comment by cell phone at the numbers below.

CUPEs national leaders will focus on child care, the New Deal for Cities and municipal infrastructure. Ever critical of privatization, they will be watching for clear conditions on the spending of federal transfers to the provinces for much-needed social programs.
