Paramedics are being invited to participate in a survey on issues of health, safety and wellness. This will help CUPE improve our vital health and safety work in the EMS sector.

This survey was developed with guidance from an advisory committee that included a CUPE representative. CUPE has worked closely with the research team, led by Dr. Steven Fisher (University of Waterloo) and Dr. Renée MacPhee (Wilfrid Laurier University), to make sure the survey reflects the concerns of members and is able to get the most relevant information.

To date there has not been enough data gathered specifically on the issues of health and safety when it pertains to paramedics.

CUPE members who may be asked to take the survey are strongly encouraged to participate. CUPE is the largest union in this field, representing approximately 10,000 paramedics and EMS workers across Canada.
