It’s festival season and CUPE BC and CUPE National are proud sponsors of the Vancouver Island Music Festival and the Vancouver Folk Music Festival.
The Island festival takes place at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds, July 8 to 10. CUPE sponsors the “MusicFest Living Green” initiative, which brings together the cultural and environmental community together to address environmental impact issues at the event and explore ways to reduce the festival footprint.
The Vancouver Folk Music Festival is at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver, July 15 to 17. CUPE is once again sponsoring a workshop as part of a multi-union initiative to support the festival. More information will be available on the workshop in the near future.
Festival goers will be rewarded with scenic outdoor settings and an opportunity to see an incredible array of musical talent.
