St. John’s – CUPE Newfoundland and Labrador is calling an ‘All-Presidents’ meeting for January 20 in St. John’s.

CUPE’s Wayne Lucas says, “With so many things on the go right now – from concerns about the Public Service Pension Plan to possible representation votes in health care – this will be an important information session and opportunity to bring our locals up to speed on the many issues facing our members.”

The daylong meeting will be held at the Battery Hotel on Saturday, January 20 with registration beginning at 8:30 am.

Lucas says, “CUPE will also be asking for input from our locals on the upcoming provincial bargaining set to get underway this fall.”

CUPE locals are being asked to send their presidents and at least one other member of the Local executive.

CUPE is Canada’s largest union with over 560,000 members.
