TORONTO – Over the course of the Ontario Auditor General’s investigation, CUPE Ontario met with her and provided her with information related to the compensation for bargaining costs in 2008 and 2012. In CUPE’s case, all costs were receipted.

CUPE welcomes in particular the Auditor General’s recommendation regarding a review of the new, legislated central-local bargaining process. CUPE is eager to participate in a review of what worked and didn’t work in this new tandem process, and we feel strongly that any review must include an analysis of costs.
